The objectives of the competition are to:
(a) strengthen students’ creativity, innovative and practical skills in order to overcome challenges in the future;
(b) stimulate students’ imagination in scientific research and invention, and to allow them to put their ideas into practice;
(c) arouse students’ interests and raise their standard in science, and to nurture young science talents for the society.
A S4 student Chau Chiu Wang investigated the possibility of employing superparamagnetic Fe3O4 NPs in treating contaminated water. He was awarded the First Place Grand Award in the category of “Energy and Environmental Science” and the “The Youth Scientist Award”.
